Beer Mats began after a debate with a barman about the music he was playing.

We insisted we could do better.

He slid us a beer mat and a pen and said, “Go on then…”

So we did.

One song became a few. A few became several beer mats full of recommendations.

Beer Mats is simply a home for those recommendations. Not playlists generated by algorithms, not “greatest songs ever” lists, just music that someone thought was worth passing on.

None of the streaming platforms make this easy, so I wrote this one.
